Police have caught and charged offenders!

Recently there have been reports of theft of money from tills in supermarkets around the area including three in Rochford District.

The M.O. is for the male to enter the store and approach the counter with a small item to be paid for. Once the till was opened he would snatch the money out of it. Sometimes a female would be present and distract staff.

3x people have been charged with the offences shown below :

1) A322D/12905/07 – Alldays, Spa Road, Hockley – 27/06/2007
2) A323A/12951/07 – Budgens Stores, Ferry Road, Hullbridge – 28/06/2007
3) A322A/13232/07 – Threshers, 210 Main Road, Hawkwell – 02/07/2007.
